An antique fine quality English late Victorian golden (honey oak) oak 8-inch dial clock retailed by Dent, London, the finely rimmed oak case of good colour, the signed 8- inch white painted dial with black Roman numerals, the blued steel spade hands and original polished brass spun bezel, the English square plate single chain fusee 8-day movement with nicely shaped pillars completely restored and guaranteed, circa 1880. 11” x 5.5”

A very large size Swedish Gustavian Louis XVI style gilt wood late 19th century cartel wall clock retailed by E, Kjallstrom, Stockholm, the very fine gilt wood Gustavian style water gilded and hand burnished case with empire torches to the sides, surmounted by a bale of harvest wheat to the top, the fine quality German 8-day rectangular shaped late 19th movement chiming the hours and half hours on a top mounted bell, the signed 10 - inch convex white painted dial with black Roman numerals contained within a finely fitting gilt brass bezel with a convex glass, the finely fretted gilt pierced brass hands in the form of foliage, circa 1890-1900 43” x 22” x 6”

A second half of the 19th century lacquered brass Sir Walter Scott Memorial Skeleton antique clock by Evans of Handsworth sitting on a carrera white marble rectangular base mounted on an original cut brass inlayed rosewood plinth  attributed to William Frederick Evans of Handsworth, the typical spired frame with four buttresses and the cast figures of Sir Walter Scott and his dog and pierced silvered chapter ring with fancy roman numerals and trefoil hands, the single chain fusee movement with six spokes wheels and vertically mounted English type lever platform escapement with plain gilt three arm monometallic balance and Harrison type maintaining power, circa 1860, In 1850 Evans produced his famous skeleton clock which was based on the Scott Memorial. This was shown at the great exhibition 1851 and is now in the city museum and art gallery. The clock proved to be extremely popular and he started to produce them in limited numbers. Even though the original was a two train with balance wheel and had a relatively detailed frame and marble base, those that were produced after varied greatly, 15" x 9" x 6"

A fine quality mid to late Victorian Viennese 8-day Gothic rosewood Grande Sonnerie striking wall regulator with pull-repeat, the fine quality Gothic rosewood case with a carved spire top, glazed lancet side panels, Bombay waisted terminal, the original perfect two-piece white enamel dial with Roman numerals, with finely pierced blued steel hands, the very finely made four pillar movement with rectangular plates and secured with brass brackets to a sliding seat board, brass barrels, with deadbeat escapement, strike/trip repeat on two wired gongs, the wood rod pendulum suspended from the backboard and swinging against a beat-scale with three large brass weights, circa 1875, A recent timepiece example of this clock can be found on Sotherbys web-site, Important Continental Furniture, 2nd December 2008, Lot No 297, for £8,000- £10,000 57” x 10 ½ ” x 5”
