very high quality scarlet red tortoiseshell case with straight shape
sides and an aperture to the front revealing the sunburst cherub head
pendulum with boulle work to the inside of the case also, sitting on
four ormolu rococo style feet, the case decorated with gilt bronze
rococo mounts, the 8-day signed and numbered French movement striking
the hours and half hours on a bell, the 12-piece enamel cartouche dial
with blue Roman numerals, circa 1870, original numbered pendulum, the

sides, front and back surmounted by a gilt ormolu finial and draping foliage
mounts, the French signed and numbered mid 19th century movement chiming the
hours and half hours on a bell, the signed 13-piece enamel cartouche dial

perfect condition and all the brass and tortoiseshell are in excellent

rectangular plated 6-ringed pillar movement striking the quarters on 6-bells
with the hour striking on a further bell, the segmented 13-piece enamel dial
