An English early Victorian flame mahogany twin fusee Gothic antique bracket clock by Alexander Cumming, London, Number 874, the mahogany gothic case of good colour surmounted by two pineapple finials, the sides to the case with Lancet shaped brass sound frets and ringed carrying handles, the 5-pillar twin gut fusee movement with strike/silent, pull repeat and hour rack striking on a gong, the white painted dial with black Roman numerals and strike silent in the break-arch, circa 1840, listed maker 20” x 11 ½ “ x 7”

A fine mahogany bracket antique timepiece with brass and ebonised inlays to the front panels and carrying handles and silk backed brass fishscale arched frets on the sides, the clock stands on brass ball feet. The 15cm convex painted dial has roman numerals and is signed Solomon, Lewes with blue steel moon hands. The 8 day single fusee movement has anchor escapement and pendulum with top rating nut. Height 35cms. width 23cms. Depth 16cms.
