A fine quality late 19th century French polished brass corniche cased striking carriage antique clock with original travelling box, the French high quality 8-day movement chiming the hours and half hours on a gong with a Swiss platform escapement, the polished brass corniche type case with solid cast scroll shaped handle, 5 perfect glasses (no chips or damages) containing an undamaged white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and blued spade hands, circa 1890 5” x 3.5” x 3” (7” with handle up)

An absolute gem of a small antique carriage repeater, the gilt/brass case has four fluted pillars with finely detailed Corinthian pillar caps, carrying handle, top inspection glass and stands on bracket feet. The Ivoreen dial has Arabic numerals and gilt minute ring and is decorated with applied ormolu frieze with bamboos, birds and butterflies and is signed Ritchie and Son, Paris. The “8 day” movement has a 13 jewel silvered lever escapement platform and strikes the hours and half hours on a gong with repeat facility. The backplate has the monogram E.M & Co. Height 11cms only. A rare miniature antique carriage timepiece in an ivory case with carved beaded pillars and ivory side and back panels with relief carvings of  flowers and there is an oval top glass and ivory beaded carrying handle.  The enamel dial has roman numerals and delicate blue steel hands.  The 8 day French movement has an 11 jewel lever platform escapement.  The miniature comes with a velvet lined red leather carrying case.  Height 8.5cms

An important one piece antique carriage clock by Leroy with alarm and repeat mechanism.  The gilded case is finely chased with floral motifs and has repeat button, full size top glass and swing handle.  The enamel dial has Roman numerals and subsidiary alarm dial and is signed Leroy a Paris.  the movement has the original 7 jewel level platform escapement with engraved balance cock..  The rack strike with starwheel sounds the hours and half hours on a bell with hour repeat facility.  Height 12.7cms.
