gilt brass bezel with a convex glass, the finely fretted gilt pierced brass
hands in the form of foliage, circa 1880-90, Robert Engström was born in
1864 and died in 1926. A well-known clockmaker in Stockholm, he specialised
in gilt wood wall clocks in both Gustavian and Empire styles. He received
the Royal Warrant to Her Majesty Queen Victoria in Sweden in 1910. he made a
number of clocks for various Royal Palaces and made a major clock for the
