Victorian two-piece wheel barometer by Chadburn Bros. opticians to H.R.H the
Prince Consort, Sheffield & Liverpool, the fine quality cabinet made
rosewood case of original colour surmounted by an scroll shaped top, the
signed silvered engraved 10-inch diameter main-register, contained within a
cast polished brass bezel with a thickly cut bevelled flat type glass, the
bayonet fixed mercury thermometer with a silvered engraved scale, this
barometer is of very good quality, circa 1840, listed maker 40” x 13” x 3”
