An English burr walnut early Victorian two-piece wheel
barometer by G. S Wood Late Abraham & Co opticians, Liverpool, the fine
quality cabinet made burr walnut case of original colour surmounted by an
scroll shaped top and bottom, the signed silvered engraved 8-inch diameter
main-register, contained within a cast polished brass bezel with a flat type
glass, the bayonet fixed mercury thermometer with a silvered engraved scale,
this barometer is of very nice colour, circa 1840, listed maker 40” x 13” x
3”
