clock by Thwaites, London, the flame mahogany balloon shaped case with
boxwood stringing sitting on 4 polished and lacquered brass ogee style feet,
the front signed English 5-bun-pillar border engraved twin gut fusee
movement with Strike/Silent and Pull-Repeat, chiming the hours on a bell,
the original white painted dial with black Roman numerals signed Thwaites
with Strike/Silent lever above the 12-numeral, the polished and lacquered
brass bezel containing a convex glass, the blued steel harpoon type hands
circa 1810 17 ½” x 10 ½” x 7”
