A French 1851 Great Exhibition Miniature skeleton clock with pull alarm by Victor Athenase, Pierret, The y-shaped frame with a ratchet wheel device to regulate the rise and fall of the silk-suspension pendulum, the brass inlayed ebonised base housing an alarm mechanism which can be triggered from the clock, the setting of the alarm can be done without removing the glass dome, the signed and numbered 8-day timepiece movement with silk-suspension, the white enamel chapter ring dial with black Roman numerals and a central silvered alarm setting disc, the blued steel moon type hands, retailed by Henry Marc, Paris, circa 1851
