garniture, the gilt bronze case surmounted by a winged cherub, flanked by
two foliate finials on a moulded and stepped base with further applied gilt
bronze mounts, the similarly decorated side pieces with removable sconces,
the signed and numbered French 8-day movement with platform escapement, the
white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, signed Robin, Paris, circa 1880
