early 19th century French patinated and gilt bronze figural mantel clock
Unsigned. The 4 inch enamel clock dial with finely cast gilt bezel is set
into a shouldered block over a lion mask fountain, the gilt figures of a
girl with a broken ewer and cupid looking on, standing on a variegated green
marble base and gilt bun feet, the twin barrel movement with external
countwheel strike on a bell, silk suspension and anchor escapement 36cm
(14.25in) high. |
