early 20th century German automata 'whistler' clock.The carved wood case in
the form of a travelling clock seller, holding under his left arm the small
timepiece clock movement with mock weights and chains (pendulum lacking),
the whistling mechanism operates independently from the clock and drives two
whistles and moves the head from side to side 34cm (13.25in) high.
