An antique French early 19th century silk-suspension gilt bronze First empire mantle clock of a boy being rescued to safety by a wolf, the substantial gilt bronze case depicting a boy on a wolfs back making their way to a house in order to ring a warning bell, the French signed and numbered 8-day movement striking the hours and half hours on a bell, the engine turned (sunburst) silvered dial with black Roman numerals, circa 1820-30 16” x 11” x 4 “
