brass boulle clock surmounted by a cherub picking fruit from a bowl, the
very high quality golden brown tortoiseshell case with waisted shape sides,
sitting on four ormolu dragon style feet, the case decorated with gilt
bronze rococo mounts, the 14-day signed and numbered French movement
striking the hours and half hours on a gong, the 24-piece enamel
cartouche dial with blue Roman numerals, circa 1870, original numbered
pendulum, the clock with Brocourt type escapement 18” x 10” x 5” |
