An antique French mid to late 19th century gilt bronze Louis XV
style mantle clock, the substantial gilt bronze case with waisted shape
sides surmounted by a pineapple finial, the sides to the case embossed with
rosettes depicting Grecian heads, the French signed and numbered 8-day
movement striking the hours and half hours on a bell, the gilt bronze dial
inset with 12- enamel cartouches with black Roman numerals, circa 1870 15” x
7” x 5½“
