barometer and thermometers Unsigned, late 19th century The eight-day
movement with platform escapement and circular silvered Roman numeral dial
set into simulated stone cylindrical upright of the windmill beneath
conforming aneroid barometer calibrated in inches flanked by Centigrade/Reaumur
and Farenheit scale alcohol thermometers to each side, the case with weather
vane finial to the conical top above rotating gilt sails and foliate pierced
gallery to waist, on cylindrical simulated stone plinth applied with faux
windows and on stepped lacquered brass and black marble base, 43cm high. |
