A fine quality Mid To Late 19th Century French Carrera white marble and gilt bronze clock garniture in the form of Diana the huntress with cherub candlestick side pieces, the Carrera white marble base inset with gilt bronze relief mounts in the form of Wreathes and trophies supporting a gilt bronze figure of Diana the huntress holding an arrow in one hand and a bird in the other with a quiver of arrows on her back, flanked by two beautiful original mercury gilded two branch candlestick's in the form of cherubs blowing the flute all sitting on gilt bronze toupee style feet, the French signed and numbered 8-day two train movement striking the hours and half hours on a bell, the white convex enamel dial with black Roman numerals and gilt dot hour markers, the decorative fretted gilt pierced hands in the form of foliage, circa 1880 15" x 10" x 5"
